History

A little spanish archipiélago in A Coruña, in front of Carnota coast, in Ría de Corcubion. The group formed by the bigger islands is known as Loberia grande(Big Lobeira ), the other group is called Lobeira chica (Little Lobeira). The biggest island in Lobeira grande group was inhabited by lighthousekeepers, the lighthouse is still kept today but it is automated. This group of small islands was the scenery of numerous shipwrecks and also suffered a big storm in 1900 that kept the family of whom operated the lighthouse at that time, isolated.
