Punta Langosteira Civil Protection Base


The Arteixo Civil Protection service has a base for its boats in the Outer Port, which allows it to reduce its response time in emergencies. This has contributed to the council being distinguished in recent years with the blue flag emblem on several of its beaches and the blue trail emblem by the Association of Environmental Education and Consumers (Adeac) and Fundación Biodiversidad. Classification as a blue trail was awarded to the 6.4 kilometre coastal trail that runs along the coast between O Rañal and Barrañán.
